Bengaluru City Civil Court Recruitment 2026 – Troubleshooting & Common Mistakes to Avoid

Even well-prepared candidates sometimes make avoidable errors. Here are the most common pitfalls:

  1. Incorrect name on fee payment: The fee must be paid only in the name of “Vitteeshadhikariyavaru, Nagar Civil Nyayalaya, Bengaluru.” Payment in any other name will be rejected and the application disqualified.
  2. Paying fee via Demand Draft / Cheque / Money Order / Cash: Only online payment through SBI Collect is accepted. All other modes are invalid.
  3. Uploading the fee receipt: Do not upload the fee payment receipt in the application – simply make the payment.
  4. Submitting multiple applications: Only the last submitted application will be processed. Earlier submissions are automatically ignored – there is no benefit to submitting multiple applications.
  5. Wrong category certificate: Candidates claiming reservation must submit certificates issued specifically by the Karnataka Government in the prescribed format. Certificates from other states or unapproved formats will be rejected.
  6. Not providing correct email/mobile: All communication – including call letters for tests – will go only to the email and mobile number registered in the application. Wrong details mean missing the exam call.
  7. Missing the application window: The portal opens on 1 July 2026 and closes on 30 July 2026 at 11:59 PM. There is no provision for late or offline submission.
  8. Not reading category footnotes: Several vacancies in the Peon (Javana) category have special conditions – for example, the SC (Cat-C) backlog position is reserved for the 59 most backward sub-castes first; if unavailable, it reverts to other Cat-C castes.
  9. Conductor certificate for Driver: Drivers must produce a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) licence. A light vehicle licence alone will not be sufficient.
  10. Submitting false information: Any false or incomplete information submitted, if discovered during or after selection, will lead to cancellation of candidature and may result in criminal prosecution.
