Selection Process for HSSC Group-C Posts 2026

Stage 1: CET Score Screening

Only candidates who cleared CET (Advt. 01/2025) with minimum qualifying scores are invited to apply. Up to 10 times the total number of advertised posts will be shortlisted for the written/skill examination based on CET merit.

Stage 2: Physical Measurement & Screening Test

For Police and Prison service posts, candidates are first tested on physical standards (height, chest). Those who qualify proceed to the Physical Endurance Test (PET), which is qualifying in nature only.

Stage 3: Written Examination (Phase-II)

The main OMR-based written examination determines the final merit. Candidates must score a minimum of 50% (General) or 40% (Reserved) in the written exam to be considered for selection.

Stage 4: Merit List & Recommendation

Based on written/skill exam scores, a merit list is prepared category-wise. If two candidates have equal marks, the older candidate gets precedence. If age is also equal, the candidate with higher CET Phase-I marks is ranked higher.

Stage 5: Document Verification

The appointing department verifies the genuineness of uploaded documents at the time of appointment.
