Quick Overview – DU UG CSAS 2nd Seat Allotment 2026

DU UG CSAS 2026: Important Dates

The full CSAS-UG 2026 admission timeline leading up to and following the Round 2 allotment is as follows:

Note: DU has indicated that additional counselling rounds may follow depending on seat vacancy after Round 2. Exact dates for any subsequent round have not been released yet, so candidates should keep checking admission.uod.ac.in.

DU CSAS Round 2: What This Allotment Round Covers

Round 2 of CSAS-UG 2026 does two things at once:

  • Fresh allotment: Candidates who did not get any seat in Round 1 may now be allotted one, based on their CUET UG 2026 score, preferences, and current seat vacancies.
  • Upgrade: Candidates who chose “Float” after Round 1 (instead of “Freeze”) may be moved to a higher preference – a better college and/or programme combination – if their rank and vacancies allow it.

The exact number of fresh allotments and upgrades made specifically in the 2026 Round 2 list has not been officially published as of this writing. For context, historical figures from previous years are shared later in this article under “How This Compares to Previous Years.”

DU UG CSAS 2nd Seat Allotment 2026: How to Check Your Status

Follow these steps to check your DU CSAS Round 2 seat allotment result:

  1. Visit the official CSAS admission portal at admission.uod.ac.in.
  2. Log in using your CUET UG 2026 Application Number and Password.
  3. Go to the “Second Seat Allotment” section on your dashboard.
  4. Your allotted college, programme, category, and merit rank will be displayed on screen.
  5. Check whether your result shows a fresh allotment or an upgrade from your Round 1 seat.
  6. Download and save the seat allotment PDF for your records.

Freeze vs Float/ Upgrade: What Should You Choose?

After receiving a Round 2 allotment, candidates must choose an option on the portal. Here is what each option means:

Important: if you are upgraded to a better preference in a later round, your earlier seat is automatically given up – this cannot be reversed. Candidates should review and reorder their preference list carefully before the reordering window closes.

Your Action Plan: What to Do After Checking the Round 2 Result

Failing to accept the seat or pay the admission fee within the deadline can lead to forfeiture of the allotted seat, so candidates should not leave these steps for the last hour.

How This Compares to Previous Years

DU’s second allocation round has historically resulted in a significant number of both fresh allotments and upgrades. The table below shows figures from previous CSAS-UG cycles, based on official University of Delhi data reported at the time:

These figures are provided for context only. They do not represent 2026 Round 2 outcomes and should not be treated as a prediction of this year’s numbers.

What If You Still Don’t Get a Seat in Round 2?

  • DU has indicated that further allocation rounds will follow if seats remain vacant after Round 2.
  • Candidates’ registration and preferences carry forward automatically – no fresh registration is required for subsequent rounds.
  • Candidates should keep checking admission.uod.ac.in regularly for the next round’s schedule and vacant seat details, which have not been announced yet.

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • Use only your official CUET UG 2026 Application Number and Password to log in – do not share these credentials.
  • If you are allotted more than one seat, you can accept only one allotted seat.
  • Choosing “Freeze” is final and removes you from consideration in later rounds; choosing “Float/Upgrade” keeps your current seat safe while allowing for a possible upgrade.
  • Save and print your allotment letter and fee payment receipt for future reference.
  • Contact the allotted college directly for programme-specific verification queries, since colleges may raise clarification requests through the portal.
