Edit Your 2026 Form Online

The India Post GDS Application Correction Window Opens for the 2026 Schedule-I (January cycle), allowing eligible candidates to edit their submitted forms online. The correction/edit window is currently live from February 18, 2026, to February 19, 2026 (up to 5:00 PM). This short window gives candidates who applied earlier a chance to review and update details in their Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) application before final processing.

This facility is exclusively for those who successfully completed one-time registration and submitted their online applications (with fee payment where applicable) during the prescribed period. The recruitment aims to fill 28,636 Gramin Dak Sevak posts across various postal circles.

Visit the official portal promptly to make necessary changes, as no further modifications will be permitted after the deadline.

Who Can Use the India Post GDS Correction Window?

Only candidates who completed the one-time registration and successfully submitted their GDS application (including fee payment if required) are eligible to use this correction facility. Multiple applications from the same candidate are not permitted. All edits must be made within the existing submitted application. Once submitted during the correction period, the updated form replaces the previous version entirely, and the merit list will be prepared based on the final corrected details.

What Details Can Be Edited in the GDS Application?

Based on standard patterns from recent GDS cycles (including 2025–2026), the following fields are typically editable during the correction window:

• Name (as per Class 10 certificate).

• Date of birth.

• Category, sub-category, and disability details (subject to notification permissions and valid proofs).

• Educational qualifications and Class 10 marks/percentage.

• Address details and local language proficiency options.

• Preferred posts, divisions, or postal circles, including order of preferences.

Candidates should log in to the portal to view exactly which fields are enabled for editing in their form. Always cross-check the official notification and the live correction interface for precise details.

What Details Cannot Be Edited?

In line with previous GDS recruitment cycles, certain critical fields are usually locked after initial submission and cannot be changed during correction:

• Mobile number and email ID (often used for registration and OTP verification).

• Registration number/User ID.

• Some core identity elements (e.g., partial Aadhaar details, if restricted by the notification).

Refer to the official Department of Posts notification and check the actual form on the portal, as disabled fields will appear grayed out or restricted.
